Day 7 Itinerary - Mont Saint Michel, Domfront, Chatres
A.
Mont Saint Michel, Abbey, & beach
We wake up to a beautiful day and get to watch the sky and the light change before heading to the island. Mont Saint-Michel is connected to the mainland by a causeway. The only way for visitors to reach the island is by bus, bike or by walking 2.2 km (1.4 miles). You can freely wander around the island and through the shop-lined narrow streets, but entry to the Abbey is by timed ticket. It's worth it for the architecture, history, and views. Watch out for the seagulls - they will (and did) snatch the food right out of your hands.
Time spent at Mont Saint-Michel: 3h total (1h in the Abbey)
