Deauville Beach
30 minutes from Honfleur is the upscale beach resort town of Deauville. We spend about an hour-and a half exploring/relaxing and snacking.

Deauville
We head into town and spend an hour strolling the streets lined with timber-framed buildings and upscale shops. And of course, stop for ice cream.

Mont Saint-Michel
The drive from Deauville to Mont Saint-Michel takes about 2 hours. We settle in to our hotel, which is the last hotel on the mainland before the causeway out to the island.

We're fortunate that the rain stops and the clouds begin to clear in time for a beautiful sunset.
