Day 3 Itinerary

A. Pick Up a Rental Car

Pink Street (Rua Nova do Carvalho) is one of Instagramer's favorite spots in Lisbon. It's all about the nightlife so it was interesting to see it in the morning. We returned at night a few days later to almost get run over by drag queen Brittany Spears on roller skates.

B.

Tuk Tuk Tour of Sintra

Sintra is a maze of streets that wind up, down, and around many hills. It's not easy to find your way around, even with GPS. After some anxious driving, we park at the first lot we can find. Wandering the streets like the lost tourists we were, a Tuk Tuk driver offers us a ride. We just want a lift to the Palace and the driver says it's 20 euros. Each. This seems steep (pun intended) but we're lost and cranky so we accept. Instead of taking us to the palace, Joao Paolo takes us on a one hour ride around Sintra, showing us farmhouses of the rich and poor, one of the city's public water fountains (Fonte da Sebuga, built in the 1700's), and incredible views. Definitely worth the money.
