Day 3 Itinerary - Teotihuacan & Parque Mexico
Hot Air Ballooning over the Pyramids
This is the first time any of us had been in a hot air balloon. It was a great experience. I thought that I'd have wobbly knees from being hundreds of feet in the air in a wicker basket but I was too occupied with the view. The package also included breakfast in a cave restaurant (kinda interesting but you could skip it)
Teotihuacan Pyramids
The tour included time on our own at the Pyramids. Other parties in our van didn't want to spend time at the Pyramids. I chose this tour specifically because it promised 2 hours to explore. We compromised on 1 hour but that was not nearly enough time.
Visiting the site reminds me of how Eurocentric my architecture and history education has been, and has inspired me to learn more about Mesoamerica.
Parque Mexico
We don't have a lot of time after the day trip to Teotihuacan so after a short rest, we explore Condesa a bit more and end up around Parque Mexico for dinner and churros.
